I haven't been on here for a while but with very little to be excited about from our kids coming up I'm amazed not much has been said about this kid apart from a post from someone bagging him.

I love this kid. I was horrified when he played those few games last year and kicked a few goals then got dropped.

This kid's just starting out and he's in the thick of things busting his gut, goes hard at the ball, bobs up and kicks a couple of goals here and there.

Certainly showing more than any of our other kids and at least as much as our bottom 3 or 4 experienced top 22.

I say play the hell out of this kid he is the one shining light coming up IMO.

I am a fan of young Jack also Winmar7Fan. What I liked about his last game was his part in quite a few goals where he blocked and shepherded an opponent to provide space for a teammate. He also has the ability to bob up in the right place to snag a goal. I also think along with Armitage he can provide us with some needed grunt in the absence of Lenny. I think this will be his breakout year and a long acreer beckons.

Love Steven... people forget how long it took Chapman and Ablett to become superstars... keep patient and he will be a gem.

Ditto!

Could never understand the dimwittedness of those who bagged him.

I thought he tried really hard against Brisbane. He found it difficult to control the ball in the early stages and we now know the reason for that. He certainly came up with a couple of timely goals.

15.2 would put some of the more experienced campaigners to shame, considering the poor kicking for goal in recent times.

I called him "Milne with class" after his first NAB Cup game in 2008, but maybe he can be more like Chapman in as much as he rarely misses.

He worked hard at the open training on Tuesday. Was practicing goals for a while after the main group finished. My daughter's favourite player so we waited for a while to get his autograph. Hope he is a regular this year.

It looks like a regular opportunity has opened for him.

Let's support him and give him time to settle in, rather than criticising every mistake. He will have his ups and downs along the way. :)

Gun!

Love how you can be half relaxed when he is having a shot at goal and know he is no going to have a Roo/Kosi shank shot.

I have been waiting for 2 years since I heard a few of our coaching staff had told a mate that he will be the next Robert Harvey! When they interviewed one of our guys on SEN they said we should have money on him for the Rising Star award. His groins have held him back but gee of all our young guys he is the stand out class wise. He runs like Sherman from the dogs with a wonky gait but the guy moves- sounds like R.Harvey moved like a bike with a buckled wheel but no one could catch him. They were expecting him to be a midfielder but the Geelong type forward and mid combo would be good.

From all reports he was a bit of a gun playing as a 16 year old against men down Lorne way.

What I like is that he will keep slipping under teams defences for a while until he starts getting 20 touchs and 2 goals on a regular basis.I think with him in the side also adds to Milne and Schnider going forward. I wouldn't mind seeing a forward line of these three every now and then.Just to mix it up,so long as our forward entries are smart.
