I don't know, and I don't think the AFL knows either.
But surely they would want Saints v Pies next week.

Either Pies or winner of Cats/Dogs/North

So unless another draw takes place and they get a bigger percentage then us then its Saints vs Collingwood. Unless the AFL decide to change things around....
On Friday 25 February, pool two winner Collingwood will play the first of two wildcard qualifiers - given to the two second-placed round one pool teams with the highest percentage.
The second 'lucky loser' will play on Saturday 26 February, either at Etihad Stadium against Sunday's Geelong/Western Bulldogs/North Melbourne group winner or in Perth against the Eagles

I don't think the "first of two qualifiers" means the team that finishes higher. It just means the first of the qualifiers to play in the second round.
What if a team from Sunday's games finished as the best lucky loser. They wouldn't force them to play on Friday.
I reckon it will be at the AFL's discretion based on amount of rest and travelling.

essendon 'Won' last night and they get to play Thursday- so don't think the time between games means much.kosifantutti23 wrote:I don't think the "first of two qualifiers" means the team that finishes higher. It just means the first of the qualifiers to play in the second round.

+1 Their reaction left me stunned! I wasn't there for the final siren of the GF2 last year, but I would be very surprised if those supporting Collingwood were any happier than they were last night. They were screaming and jumping up and down and it was only a draw! Of a round 1 NAB Cup match in February. They would almost certainly have gotten through to the next round whether he'd kicked that goal or not, yet you'd think they won Tattslotto!Iceman234 wrote:Didn't we get eliminated last night and Essendon won the 2011 Premiership? That's how I read the crowd reaction at the final final siren.

A few Essendon fans also reckon they're a chance at the flag now as well.AnythingsPossibleSaints wrote:+1 Their reaction left me stunned! They seemed to get that excited after they beat us in Round 8 last year.Saintersss wrote:A few Essendon fans also reckon they're a chance at the flag now as well.AnythingsPossibleSaints wrote:+1 Their reaction left me stunned!
