afl phantom draft: Jay Neagle
I just read the afl phantom draft and we might pick up Jay Neagle with our last pick.Do you think its worth a punt .With the speed of today's game
he might struggle but could release Kosi as a ruckman

You never pick up much with your last pick, and with this compromised draft there is even less chance of getting a good smokey, so why not?JABBER wrote:I just read the afl phantom draft and we might pick up Jay Neagle with our last pick.Do you think its worth a punt .With the speed of today's game

We may pick up a recycled player, or two, I just hope our first 2, but preferably 3, picks are kids.GrumpyOne wrote:You never pick up much with your last pick, and with this compromised draft there is even less chance of getting a good smokey, so why not?JABBER wrote:I just read the afl phantom draft and we might pick up Jay Neagle with our last pick.Do you think its worth a punt .With the speed of today's game

And for God's sake, if we've got an eye on a recycled player let's play it cool and be prepared to miss out on him if things don't fall our way.
None of the recycleds are worth a "Frost Moment" where we blurt out "Wayde Skipper" before the bloke from Gold Coast has even had a chance to speak

I'd rather go with the best four players available, rather than go cherry-picking to fill gaps. We can always trade for what we want if we have the bait.Sainterman wrote:I think (have heard) we will be going with 4 x midfielders with pace.
Then we will look at a one to two recycled players. Perhaps Jaye is a chance.

I'd have a crack at Neagle for sure.
If being labeled "lazy" doesn't fire you up, nothing will.
Has done his "apprenticeship" and has something to prove. Potential long-term option. Clearly has talent.
We could do a lot worse. Paul Johnson may better suit our needs, though.

Clueless and mediocre petty tyrant.
