FOUR Days to make fools of ourselves..Predictions !!
Well, we could look like absolute geniuses or we could look like absolute mugs depending on who we think will get their names called out by John Peake next Thursday;
I'll start by predicting that we will take someone who is 20yrs+ from vfl, sanfl or wafl with one of our later picks, possibly our Rd 3 or 4 !!

theres two WA boys i hope we have a look at in the Draft one is Isiaih Stevens & Anton Hamp both should be available around our picks ... Isiaih has a vertical leap to rival the palm tree from westcoast and Hamp is real pace ....

I've got a bit of a hope for Jack Darling, doubt very much he'll slide enough to get to our first pick, but would be that Sammy replacement that we have missed since he got injured/retired.
That kid from Bendigo is pretty impressive as a 21 year old! Isn't it funny though, as has been said before, that every kid in the draft seems to be a gun judging by comments of them.

Jack Darling may just be another Buckley, good player with a bad attitude towards everyone around him or he could be a toxic presence. He keeps sliding because he seems to be an ordinary bloke.
If we get prestia with our first pick we would be very lucky he is short but solid and looks a real prospect. If he was taller he would have been top 10 IMO. He would suit us as he can kick goals and adds midfield depth.
Grant Weeks would be worth a rookie place as he has something that we lack- natural goal kicking ability, he would realistically be at least a year away as he isn't going to be fit enough in his first year, Gwilt worked out so worth a risk.

From the Herald Sun.
http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/d ... 5952731786
WHAT the Saints need and who they're likely to get in Thursday's national draft.
DRAFT PICKS
24, 43, 59, 75, 90, 103, 111 (PR)
WHAT THEY NEED
The Saints are workman-like, rigid and ultra-consistent. What they need is some "outside'' excitement machines to spice things up a bit.
Andrew Lovett was a perfect fit, but he's gone. Farren Ray and Brett Peake can run, but are a long way short of A grade.
David Armitage, a recent high pick, is slowish. They need some speed so it is a no-brainer that at least the first two picks have to be used on free-wheeling, adventurous players.
The Saints also need a mid-sized forward. It's either giants or midgets inside 50. Time for something in between.
WHAT THEY MIGHT GET
It's a low first pick - No.24 - but there is still some gold to be found.
If it's midfield spunk they're after, Dion Prestia's breakaway pace and penetration will appeal.
He's only 175cm but lacks nothing in aggression. Long kick and good shot for goal on the run.
RECYCLING OPPORTUNITIES
Cameron Bruce
LATE MAIL
Kieran Harper is an exhilarating conduit from midfield to forward line.
He's on the Saints' radar, along with Jed Lamb, as they would add the x-factor the club craves.
Both could still be available at 24 if Prestia's gone
Defiently seems to know what he is talking about. Would be happy with either 3 of those, although I think Harper has big question marks on him.[/url]

and your basing that on ??? he has some issues but most teenage boys do... as for his accident i think you will find it was more a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time .. that kinda thing happens ... having said that he wont get as far as our pick so no point thinking bout itgringo wrote:Jack Darling may just be another Buckley, good player with a bad attitude towards everyone around him or he could be a toxic presence.
