$500,000 Bet ... ?

Wonder what happened to the punter who had the $500,000 large on us to win the Flag ..? Thinking a draw would be his only chance of losing if he hedged his bets .. :?:

I asked the same question and someone explained to me that he bet on who would win the premiership so bet is still alive as premiership not yet decided

He did not back head to head on yesterdays game.

It is for St.kilda to win flag.

He is alive , and so I am (I bet a $500 at 5.5 to one the week before we played Geelong in the home and away). I rang betezy this morning and they say bets taken during the home and away season will be carried on to next weeks game. (Interesting in that they also said that if you bet head to head yesterday , they would pay half the odds for both teams..........

I read somewhere he didn't take a banker either!

all bets yesterday head to head pay half, if you bet margins you lose as they are 1-39 and 40+ and result was 0

I really hope he didn't have $500k on Collingwood in the H/H market as a saver as he would have done $150k.

Yep, the bet is still live, as reported in today's H-S.

All bets for a win taken during the game were honoured at 50% of odds, all margin bets were lost. All bets for the flag will be paid out on next week's result.
