Guess the crowd
How many do you reckon will get there Sat night. The papers have said a few times close to 80k.
Personally I reckon if they get close to 70k will be a great effort. Everyone is talking about Frid night and that game will be a sell out. Most neutrals, ie MCC and AFL members will be trying to get to that game.
My prediction - 64500

Visitors tickets for the Cats vs Pies game sold out in 15 minutes:saint75 wrote:Bit surprised that MCC visitors tickets have not sold out for either game. Especially surprised that they are still available for the Cats/Pies game. Think the crowds will be down on expected for both.....

According to the MCC they are expecting a total of 90-95000.
An expected total of 75-80000 for the Saints vs Dogs game.

18,000 That's a hell of a lot of tix to still be sold. Considering virtually the entire top deck of the southern stand in the AFL reserve has yet to be sold, and visitors passes are still available in the MCC we may only end up with 55000.jonesy wrote:79,376
18,000 left as of last night. Probably half of them will go by game time?
If Collingwood win tommorrow night I'd expect to see 3-4000 of there lunatics there having a geezer

I think it will be an extremely small crowd given that for the first time the AFL has scheduled the Prelim 24 hours after the GFjonesy wrote:79,376

55,000 is unlikely.Moods wrote:18,000 That's a hell of a lot of tix to still be sold. Considering virtually the entire top deck of the southern stand in the AFL reserve has yet to be sold, and visitors passes are still available in the MCC we may only end up with 55000.jonesy wrote:79,376

Last year they got 78K for Dogs/Saints prelim, although that was the major prelim and on a Friday night, and the Dogs were a footy team also!
So based on the above, low 70's is still a good chance.....don't worry about the MCC members - plenty will be there - could be 3/4 full in the members.
i am Melbourne Skies - sometimes Blue Skies, Grey Skies, even Partly Cloudy Skies.

63,000. 65/35 Saints favour...
"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

There are still many tickets left on Ticketek for Geel-Coll up the back of the Southern Stand, Olympic, etc. I did a test and got row Y this morning.
The public must not be aware of this as people are paying hundreds for tix on eBay, I guess believing it is a sell out.
The fact that there are STILL seats left is an indictment on the AFL's pricing structures... $150 for two standard seats is clearly too expensive for many fans.
