I'm happy they have left Byrnes out, small, quick forwards seem to kill us.
I wouldn't rule out a late change though, if it's raining Friday night like we expect, then I would assume Byrnes will get the call up.

Most likely for Lonergan, considering their backline looks too tall for our forward line.

But that does mean someone is out - and looking at their lineup, any outs are good news for us!

Wow, surprised Byrnes isn't back....I suspect Bomber is hoping for us to go tall and then maybe he will make a late change?

We always go tall in the backline, but so do they.

I think Mini, Schneids and Yapper are crucial this week given that their opponents are all much bigger than them.

I think Lonergan out late for Byrnes will happen if it's wet. It gives them an extra runner, and removes some excess height from their backline. They'll then have Hunt, Wojak and Enright to play on our three smalls.
Well, that's my opinion anyways.

I would have liked Armo in, but we can't complain. Just about a full list to chose from, so we can only hope Ross knows what he's doing. Which he does based on his record.

is this the official saints team,
because if it is, it angers me alot.
although i half understand armitage being left out, he should have been swapped with mini, although mini 'is apperently' playing a defencive forward role hes not doing a great job and armo can kick a couple of goals and shows that every match!!!!!

the one that angers me the most though, is that dempster was dropped
he is shown that he is very reliable, can run hard and can be very damaging. the problem is i know he was brought it to replace baker i just think he deserves a spot

Do you think he may play a defensive forward?

Who will be the late change for Dempster to come in??...

Most probably Fisher??...

There is no way we will go into this game without Dempster in the side...

Can't complain about the team.

Unfortunately for Eddy he broke his hand at exactly the wrong time and just after he had probably played his best two games for the club.

First finals match for McEvoy and Geary.

First finals match in Saints colours for Peake.

Lets hope they can stand up and deliver on the big stage!

Not really surprised by any of those inclusions (on both sides), but I would have liked Miles to have had just one more go.

Regardless, we are looking strong going in!

Good chance of it being dry for most or at least half the game.

Weather forecast is now for a Sunny day, with Patchy rain in the evening.....so it may be even dry for the whole game.

Most of the wet weather action is forecast for Saturday.

Game doesn't start till 7.45. I would consider that well into the 'evening'.
