Why we will win.
Just interested in how peep's think it will all go down on Sat Arvo.
For me the Cloke suspension is a blow for the Filith.
As much as i don't rate the bloke,he does seem to be their go to man when coming off half back, and at times when they are coming from deep defense.
Without him I reckon they are really going to struggle to get the ball into scoring positions.
As long as we start well i get the feeling a fair chunk of this game will be played in our (clogged) forward half, with the Filith trying to score on fast breaks.
Don't think they have the absolute speedsters to hurt us playing this way.
We need to be methodical and patient going forward and convert well .(deny them the ball for long period's).
Wasn't too confident about this game after the Brissy game, but the closer this game get's the more I see us winning by .
US by Plenty...
But if Fraser is a late in they will probably take a more conventional approach to scoring behind's
Still us by PLENTY...

Like that score.Prodgers wrote:Why we will win.
In my really random dream last night i saw the scoreboard from the MCG on Saturday. The full time score was Saints 14.9 - filth 0.13
Agree with everything you said about Cloke.
Can you imagine the Filith fans if that was the score.................0-13 LOL
And did it really say 'filth' on the scoreboard....

How the hell did we allow them 13 scoring shots?

we are the second worst top 8 side when it comes to for and against free kicks so maybe they got 13 free's in front of goalDr Spaceman wrote:Don't like that one little bit.Prodgers wrote:Why we will win.

nah seriously should be a cracker. We will pressure them through the midfield, they will have to work out wide and use dawes too much on the long lead up. Thus they will have to slow it down to pick out their smaller forwards and we will cut them off like every other time we play.
They got their run in round 3 because we lost roo and then chips and thus had to throw the team around a little. We lost our markig strength from half back and they were able to work it through that area.
Wont happen again.

It is going to be a cracker.
If it's anything like the earlier game there will be some sore bodies on Sunday. The intensity last time was sensational!!
Looking forward to it, let's hope the boys put Collingwood back in their place.

Life is very short and there's no time for fussing and fighting my friends.

Because they cant improve - we can !
I watched the round 3 game against them last night and thought they through everything at us in that game. They tried to physically intimidate a number of players and had a real go but weren't good enough. When the SAINTS lifted in the last quarter we blew them away ! They had a number of shots on goal but all from angles and under pressure which there game style causes.
They will stuggle to fill the loss of Cloke, we have ROO & KOSI back who hardly played the last game. If we play our normal pressure game we will win by over 30 points IMO....

Love the pics. The one of the Collingwood fans reacting to Milne is the epitome of grace and civility.
The one of Malthouse with his keys in his hands is a cracker, the face of a man caught in a lie!
I think it will be a tough hard fought game but our boys will want it so much. I have faith that they have what it takes to get them across the line.

A win would be nice but not essential.
Can easily bank many more points with our soft run home.
Getting a home final in the Top 4 is very likely - if the Pies finish 2nd and we finish 3rd is essentially the same as us 2nd and them 3rd.
Just enjoy the entertainment, enjoy Rooey, the sunshine, and hopefully a win with no injuries/reports.

Sometimes they get so caught up in trying to say nothing they actually say the opposite of what they were meant to.SainterK wrote:Because....

Dingbat.
"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

Without Cloke, the filth will have to play wide and try and pinpoint passes to their small forwards.
This suits us perfectly, and lets remember Carlton had Waite and O'halpin as big targets to kick too, Collingwood has none, or at times Brown or Jolly.
This is a big game to win, finishing top two is better than 3rd and also estabilishing dominance, gives a big advantage.
Also consider this that if the only change in the top 4 is us swapping with Geelong at number one position, chances are that first final against Fremantle would be played at Etihad.

Except for the sanity nothing much has been lost.
