Former Vics fired up to play for WA CHRIS PIKE
May 20, 2010 - 8:01AM
Subiaco ruckman Michael Rix might have played for Victoria before, but will shelve that for a WA jumper on Saturday and he's desperate to help it achieve a State game win that could make the WAFL competition the strongest below the AFL.
The WAFL representative team will take on the best of the VFL in a State match at Leederville's Medibank Stadium on Saturday.

Rix, who played 29 AFL games with St Kilda and represented the VFL against South Australia while playing in the competition, joined Subiaco early last season and has established himself as one of the best ruckmen in the league.
The 29-year-old 200cm big man played himself into leading the WA ruck on Saturday with 14 possessions, eight marks and 51 hit outs on Saturday against South Fremantle and is desperate to help get the win on the board over the Vics. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
