Back to smoke and mirrors
No open training this week or last week.
We must have something really exciting to unveil in round 1, pity the Swans.

We'll need something to counter BBB this season... he's so hot right now.Con Gorozidis wrote:Yep. Word is we have been working on the "Magnum" all summer. We wont use it on match days until it is perfected. But if it is it will revolutionise the game. Even more so than the "Blue Steel Strangle" and the "Forward Press" of the 2009 Winter Catalogue.

I'd like to see some form of improved "Frontal Pressure"... maybe "Reverse Circular Frontal Pressure" or maybe even something that has more words.

Due to popular demand, they're bringing back the yellow jumper. They've been training in it to acquaint themselves. Don't tell anyone.
"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'
Yeah I'm sick of hearing crap from those dere-lict bulldogs supporters.markp wrote:We'll need something to counter BBB this season... he's so hot right now.Con Gorozidis wrote:Yep. Well I drove down Linton Street this arvo and guess what? There was a full scale practice match in progress between the Lemons and the Limes. Not sure who was winning.
The club obviously has plenty of money as they employed at least half a dozen security guards to make sure you couldn't watch even from the street.
I didn't stop, but if I had I would have tested their authority to stop me watching through the fence. Talk about overkill.

Remember some time ago camera crews were found to be climbing scaffolding in the housing development opposite Waverley to film the Hawks training.
I am quite excited now, it builds the anticipation....bring on Round one!

Sounds like a few tweaks to the gameplan are being worked on....and/or some positional moves.Bernard Shakey wrote:"No open training this week or last week.

Small forwards must be mentally ready
Jonesy said "I'd just like to see our small forwards who never miss goals, kick them when it matters".
Spot on ! I remember the geelong mantra throughout the game was calm -calm - just keep calm (Particularly from Harley to his team mates).
When our players had their shots at goal it often looked like a testosterum rush was guiding the ball.
I hope our goal kickers learn from that game.
GO SAINTS!

The boy can play and we can build a defence around him that will have respect.
