Q55 on fan survey doesn't mention saintsational.com
Thanks to StFidelius for emailing it to me, since I didn't receive it.
Q55 is "Where do you get your latest information about your club?"
The options are:
Channel 2
Channel 7
Channel 9
Channel 10
SBS
Foxtel
774 ABC
3AW
SEN1116
Sport 927
Triple M FM
Other Radio Stations
The Age (including website)
The Australian (including website)
The Herald Sun (including website)
Other Newspapers
AFL.com.au Website
Sportal.com.au Website
Club website
Other websites
The reason I originally started looking at saintsational.com before becoming a poster is that a friend told me that it really is the best place to find news about the club. How can the club not mention this great site? And how can no one arc up about it?

But I agree this site deserves a category of its own.Milan Faletic wrote:Thanks to StFidelius for emailing it to me, since I didn't receive it.

Id say its because they dont want this site on a list that as it may well dilute traffic away from the offical site and potentially hurt advertising revenue..and I totally understand that
Dont worry, the Club knows about us in a big way and there are 100 other ways to get the message that we exist out to the Saints masses who dont.
It was the same in the early days of the MW..the Club refused to officially acknowledge our existance as they saw us as a potential threat to reserved seat sales. Now of course we have reserved seats up there and the Club are happy to mention us in the brochure...win-win

The statement "your Club" in the question tends to suggest it may be a generic survey. Would the Club not say where do you get your information about St Kilda??
members can click on a link and be directed to the questionnaire on the website of Feedback Friend, which is conducting the survey on our behalf.

Have to strongly disagree with that given the number of media sites that are mentioned on that question. Maybe saintsational.com needs to sell advertising on the site. Maybe the marketing manager at the club should sell saintsational as part of an website marketing package.saint66au wrote:Id say its because they dont want this site on a list that as it may well dilute traffic away from the offical site and potentially hurt advertising revenue..and I totally understand that

......and the minute that happens they will get editorial say in what can and cant be on the site. Same reason the MW is an "unofficial" arm of the Club even though they use us to sell L3 reserved seatsMilan Faletic wrote:Have to strongly disagree with that given the number of media sites that are mentioned on that question. The difference betwen us and the other media sites is that SS and saints.com.au are "Saints specific" information sites, whereas the others contain Saints news in among other content.

rule 1 ...keep 'our' (ss) independance at all costs
rule 2 ... see rule 1
give absolutely nothing away to anyone , especially not the 'business' known as the st kilda football club
... this place is a shining light in a cesspool of mediocrity
and i'll argue that , till the day 'we' sell out ....then i'm gone
