Anger > Disappointment > Sadness>>> future :)
be it the Grandfinal result or Max's retirement or Luke initial decision- possible decision
the stages of emotion some of us may be going through
I wasn't angry at Luke- More disappointed that he didn't want to be with us any more,,,,,,
Sadness that he may not feel wanted- or that there is something so close
and sadness for him that the decision will have brought heart ache- which may or may not have already been there- sadness that his Teammates may feel let down,
> future- Thankfull - That Luke has given us so much, has developed so much and was part of a great 8 years of growth at the Saints
Hopeful- that he finds peace and a joy to his football again.
Hopeful that the GROUP can use the current times to build further strength and focus to take that one final step.
I am realistic- I know it's a business- but in reality the very basis (and the final piece to any game) of this business is the ability of players to give their hearts and that little bit extra when it counts..
It is a job and if you / they do it well enough it should be enough - BUT it's that desperate want which will will a team past tat final siren.
Being realistic I KNOW the Saints can be there in September in 2010.
a little the reverse are my feelings on Max- Felt sadness when he retired but knew it was coming- but then Dissappointed when he jumped so quickly- as I noted last year - its a bit like being dumped by a best friend.- Just feel not needed any more
BUt - will still wish him all the best as he fills his days anew.

obviously you did not attend the Saints Best and Fairest nightBaysideSaint wrote:clearly the filth are investing in IP with max but just let me say,
there's only one Stephen Silvagni and his IP has given us premiership favouritism.
max may be many things but a great spokesperson isn't one of them.

If you are talking about a spokesperson Max did a brilliant effort in his speech at the B & F...
If you are talking about coaching yes SOS has the runs on the board and Max is only been appointed as a part time coach for Collingwood...
to state this
to me is an insult, have you actually heard him speak at all, or have you been reading quotes written in the newspaper??max may be many things but a great spokesperson isn't one of them.

perhaps Communicator would be a better choice of words as opposed to Spokesperson.St Fidelius wrote:In what way exactlyBaysideSaint wrote:for the record no and max hudghton isn't a patch on Sos.St Fidelius wrote:obviously you did not attend the Saints Best and Fairest nightBaysideSaint wrote:clearly the filth are investing in IP with max but just let me say,

to me whilst he may be an effective communicator he simply doesn't come from the same angle as Silvagni.
and for the same reason Harvey is less of a communicator than Silvagni.
Harvey and Hudghton may speak differently but essentially the words carry no weight.
they just want him for his IP. unfortunately his and harvey's IP does not come from the same angle as silvagni and that is the number one reason why there is no concern from an STK angle.

I just hate posters that post without really knowing and make comments that one of our most loyal players is not a great spokesperson...
To me that just reeks of ignorance ...
So have you ever spoken to Max???
Have you ever spoken to SOS??
Oh, by the way, weren't you once the poster that had the nic One Gram and prior to that Loyal???
Complete ignorance comes to mind

Yes and I have edited way before you posted this.PJ wrote:you
Just what do you mean by laying off the red??
I stand by my comments and that Max is a great spokesperson and communicator....
and I was just wondering if BaysideSaint (or One Gram/ Legend) has ever spoken to Max or even SOS to make that comment.
