Perhaps indicitave that we are getting nowhere with Collingwood on Ball.
They're going 'we'll take LB plus a pick.'
We're going to LB and Pies 'go f*** yourselves.'
Just a thought.
Peake will be more than handy at Sandringham.

"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

There is a rule that we need to draft 3 players in the National isnt there???
What picks are they going to be 32, 64 & 70......
Might indicate a preference for draft choices from the Pies.....rather than a player which has already been stated.
Anyways...Peak.... Didnt really rate him.
How much run and carry are we going to get.....It seems like our much perceived 'slow' midfield (an analysis I didnt agree with) is quickly becoming 'fast'.
Who is going to get the contested ball? Hayes is at his optimum when playing both an inside and outside role.....and Armo has 20 games to his name......

Not overly excited about this one - I'm not going to go out and bag him until I've seen enough games in our colours, but from what I've ssen, he's quite an inconsistent player. Would have given up our 4th rounder. I think Joel Macdonald or Jesse Smith would have been a much better option. They would have given us alot more flexibility in defence, and the ability to shift certain players forward at times.
The Saints are coming!

Really happy but would have rather seen us go for a 4th round pick on him.
And I'd have bargained hard for a 2nd round deal with Lovett.
Still, Peake and Lovett will give us immense dash off the backline next year.
Frees up Goddard to go forward.
Pace to burn

Re Peake: We could draft Usain Bolt and it'd have the same impact - really fast bloke who can't play.evertonfc wrote:Really happy but would have rather seen us go for a 4th round pick on him.

I'm an 'In Ross we Truster', but he's pushing me to the brink with this one.

Don't know why everyone has written him off ..I have seen him play some good games at Freo ...inconsistant but may have had issues with Harvey..certainly has pace and knows where the goals are ..lets welcome him and give him a go.
Never take a backward step even to gain momentum.....
