Max Hudghton Tributes - to be passed on to the club
Max, you have always given your all.
Your passion has been unbelievable, as best shown by your tears after the Dogs game in 2000.
The term 'courageous to the point of stupidity' was invented for you.
That you were never All-Australian is a disgrace, many forwards of the decade have repeatedly said that you were the hardest defender in the game to get a kick on.
Your effort last year to keep Buddy to 1 goal in the Prelim was remarkable.
We have all felt a terrible sadness watching you try and battle through injuries this year.
Like many Saints champs before you, we couldn't win one with you, but when the day finally comes, the premiership will be a legacy of Barker, Frawley, Burke, Loewe, Harvey and Hudghton.
Forever a Saint hero
Thanks Max

Max, I wanted to say something to you that would convey my depth of feeling for how highly I regard you, and how deeply saddened I am that you have said goodbye.dcstkfc wrote:Max, you have always given your all.

I just couldn't find the words to do you justice, but thankfully dcstfc found the perfect words for me.
Thanks for articulating, dcstkfc.
And thank you Maxi, for everything.
Brilliant idea. If you need any help, let me know.SainterK wrote:By the way, I am happy to do it....if anyone is up for it?SainterK wrote:It wouldn't be hard to have a thread were everyone puts in their tributes, and then have someone compile them all and have it printed and bound, and then send it to the club to give to him?
Max to the Max

Will always have a place in my heart for Max.
He was a great servant for St.Kilda over the last 12 years. A self-less and courageous team player.
All the best with your endevours after footy.

Curb your enthusiasm - you’re a St.Kilda supporter!!
Like those before you who gave their heart and soul for St Kilda Football Club but never tasted the ultimate success, please take comfort in the knowledge that your contribution to this great club will never, ever, be forgotten. You have provided some wonderful memories that I'll cherish forever. And when you bled, we bled with you. You're a class act mate.
Wishing you all the very best in life after footy.
Thanks Max.

Thanks Max for all those times you wiped the floor with Fev, Rocca, Sav and Anthony, Lloyd, Hall, Johnson, Brown, Jarman, Matera, Franklin, Bradshaw, Lynch, O'Loughlin and any one else I missed out on.
It was sheer joy to watch your 110% commitment to the club.
Hope your in the stands 12 months from now too watch the boys win it.

Thankyou Max not just for your courage, tenacity, passion and commitment to the St.Kilda Football Club, but also for helping raise the profile of our great game in Queensland.
Your spirit should be bottled and handed out to all draftees and new arrivals.
True legend, well done.
