Who would we prefer to play?

Post: # 812278Post markinUSA »

Hi

I have only watched Saints games this year, so I'd like to hear what others think about Brisbane and the Bulldogs?

Strengths, weaknesses, any preferences on who we would like to play?

We've beaten them both twice. Hope they belt each other senseless in their games next week. Pies have got a few sore boys after that one.

I would be happy with the bullies, i would like to see Bris and the Bullies have a really hard fought battle as usual.

Are both Pelims played on Saturday the 19th?

Or do we get to play Friday with the chance of an extra day off before the GF?

My Birthday is the 19th and will plan around when we play!!

Cheers

The reply regarding Brisbane was my fault.

I was trying to type in the teams who were vying for a place in the finals against us in 2 weeks. I wrote Adelaide and the Dogs, in excitment, but then realized and changed the team name. Not fast enough, however.

The poster was right - we've beaten Adelaide twice.

My mistake. Sorry.

i think the lions were great lastnite we were average today but we should beat either, but in saying that the first quarter today was a disgrace fancy the coaches sending them out in that frame of mind they need to watch it if that happens again a good side would of been 7 goals up on them today. footy is rubbish these days, its no risk stick to a plan crapola all these possesions hardly any goals kicked it was a boring game

we'd rather play the bears, on the road for a second week in a row and after a very tough game just getting over the western bulldogs. that said, on yesterday's showing the dogs don't worry me an enormous amount. i'd suggest that neither side has a defence which can really hold our forward line - geelong and adelaide the real worries.

We can only improve from here.

We played on average at about 75% today - sometimes stepping up to full throttle when needed then easing off.

The Prelim should see us step it up a notch or two, but still not at full throttle for the match.

The GF - all firing !

Lions the dogs are the much better all round even team. If that makes sense I am celebrating todays win over the filth with quite a few coldies.

Are you gonna be the one?

Rather play the Lions. The Dogs have more match winners and are a better unit, although we did beat them twice this year, both times without Kosi.

The Doggies. I watched them yesterday and even I could see how to beat them.

Drivel. It was a dour game, I agree, but the discipline of the team to crush the life out of the puffed-up Pois was awesome.

We'd beat either the Dogs or Leons on today's form, like we did in the H & A.

Don't think having a preference helps one's cause, just ask the Doggies and Collingwood....

Obviously prefer to play the Lions but the reality is we will be playing the Dogs. I can't see the Lions knocking off the Dogs. Not in Melbourne.

Super happy we are on the other side of the draw to the crows now. They will give it a shake we could end up having a 97 re-match.

Doesn't matter if StKilda come with the right attitude and application we will beat both.
