Ross Lyon/Silvagni - where did they go post-match?

Post: # 792234Post benengel14 »

Was lucky enough to be on the same flight as the saints players after the match (also Robert Walls). But no Ross Lyon or Silvagni?

Apparently after the match finished, Ross Lyon left the stadium and let Hudghton to do the post-match presser?

Anyone know if perhaps they caught an early flight to watch the essendon/brisbane clash?

Yep that's what they did Ben.

Max did the press conference as Ross had headed back for the Ess game.

Offered some players my assorted chocolates I had leftover from the game as they came on board the plane. Milne was the only one keen on them.

Zac Dawson in the airport seemed the most popular (or approachable) - first courted by hawks supporters in the bar/cafe area, and then by some saints fans. And finally Jeff Kennett walked through the terminal and stopped for a couple of minutes to talk to him.

One thing I was impressed by was the logistical exercise involved in getting such a large group interstate, especially the amount of equipment the club takes with them (training eqpt, stretchers, crutches, first aid, bags of footballs). Literally about 30 different items on the conveyor belt.

Didn't see any of the omitted players - must have all spent time in Melbourne.

Did Hawthorn catch the same flight home or did they have separate planes?
Would have been fun sticking it to Hawthorn supporters aand Jeff Kennett all the way back to Melbourne.

Separate flights. I think hawthorn had a post-match function they had planned. (probably as it was their last game in tassie for the year).

the Pres and the CEO were also on the flight but managed to be on soon after the call first went out--

took the guys and while to get through-

the only one flustered on the flight home was the cabin crew member who tried to give away a plane.....

I must admit, I couldn't help but chuckle uncontrollably at that point. Only because the poor crew member ALSO couldn't control himself very well. I'll rent an aircraft any day please...
