The annual Saintsational Cap thread
For as long as I have been browsing then posting on this site the issue of some sort of "Saintsational" identification comes up EVERY off season.
But nothing ever happens.
eg
2004
http://www.saintsational.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4195
2007
http://www.saintsational.com/forum/view ... tional+cap
So I raise it again because ....
1) I would be proud to wear one
2) we could sell them at a markup and put the funds towards
- keeping the site afloat
- sponsoring a player
I may be wrong but I think the concensus was that a Cap was the preferred option.
There must be someone on this site who knows how/where to get them manufactured.
There are already a few good designs out there.
I would guess they could be made for ~ $5 ???
Then we could sell them for say $30.
Sell a hundred ?
All our funding and sponsorship problems solved.

The rest of Australia can wander mask-free, socialise, eat out, no curfews, no zoning, no police rings of steel, no illogical inconsistent rules.
They can even WATCH LIVE FOOTY!

Yup...although another option, given the Club are handing out free caps anyway is a badge / pin.
Can be worn on scarf/cap/collar/whatever...and Id reckon would be logistically easier to organise.
The profits might be smaller, but handed out at games for a gold coin donation to SS Id reckon we'd still do OK Surely could be made for well under $1 each

Don't wait for the light at the end of the tunnel to appear, run down there and light the bloody thing yourself!
Or.. how about.. Instead of a cap or badge... maybe we should look into designing a sew-on patch sort of like what Scouts wear on their uniforms...?
I mean.. with the club handing out caps every year, I for one probably wouldn't buy it or let alone wear one. I hardly wear my members one anymore.
A sew-on patch can either be saftey pinned on, or sewn onto a st kilda jacket or guernsey or something.
I think it could look intseresting as well as provide the site with some good exposure to st kilda fans who do not know about this site.
Of course this would have to come down to costs etc.. but if they aren't expensive to get made, I'm sure we could sell them for about $5 a pop. And they are small and logistically woudln't cause a whole lot of problems.
So that was just an idea I had...

But how about an iron-on transfer?
Much easier to apply!
i am Melbourne Skies - sometimes Blue Skies, Grey Skies, even Partly Cloudy Skies.
That's a good idea too, but I'm also thinking... the patch, if it's saftey pinned on it can be moved onto different pieces of clothing, rather than having one permanently stuck onto one jumper.saintspremiers wrote:I like your idea.luke.l_26 wrote:Or.. how about..
