Boys off to Thailand !!

Post: # 657245Post Eastern »

Joey said on SEN today that a group of the boys were off to Thailand for a holiday early next week for 10 days. Mark Doran suggested to him that its probably best to be out of the country during trade week and Joey agreed. Doran joked that if the phone rings Joey should drop it in the "Bar Pool" !!

I hope all our one-sided players are taking a footy with them.

Recruit some local kids to fetch the ball for the 1000+ kicks they should be taking on their opposite sides.

Gilbert, CJ, Fiora, R Clarke, Gwilt, Blake - here's looking at you.

And I'd put Milne and Fisher in that list if they hadn't had such good seasons.

I would hope nothing's lost in the translation when asking local kids to fetch your balls.

You would pass Sam Fisher in????? This is aimed at EvertonFC.
Surely you are not saying Leigh Fisher had such a good season???

Agree mate... Sam Fisher isn't overly one-sided. In fact I've seen a few reasonable left foot 35-40m drop punts from him hitting a target.

I wish but only just got back from a trip in June - Going back next April during Thailands Songkran Festival ( New Year Celebrations)
Cant wait.

I presume the boys will be going to either Phuket or Koh Samui which is where they have been before. This place is more suited to the younger generation party atmosphere.

Good luck to them Its a great country and place to vist.

I think he's a great player who had a great season. But I think he'd be a superstar if he had two feet.

Hardly an unfair call, is it?

Again, before some fruitloop goes beserk internet hero-style, I think he's a great player.

Dal could do some work on his right foot... but then again, his left is just so lethal.

If he could work on his work rate and ability around the stoppages, he wouldnt need to use his right much.

...I just hate it how 50% of our playing list, when they get the ball, has to make sure they are on their right side before kicking it.

Always slows us down going forward.

Saints Central is advertising "Postcards from Phuket with Sam Fisher" - coming soon....

Is the "what happens on tour stays on tour" rule still observed?? :)

Definitely. We need more blokes who can kick both feet. You'd say that it's not hard to practice some kick-to-kick on your non-preferred after training for 15 minutes a couple of times a week?
