Robert Harvey doesn't belong on the footy show
Tonight I've allowed my 12 yo daughter to stay up and watch the footy show to see Robert Harvey.
Of course they have to put Fevola on due to the week that he has had.
Through this I'm thinking they couldn't possibly show "that" photo.
Lo and behold... the show has descended into the cess pit.
"Dad" what's that ?
Um,um ............
Wasn't the show better in the early days where they talked more footy strategy ?
I believe this is Harves first appearance on the show ?
I don't think he belongs on this sort of show.

Over the years the show has descended into crap.
The people I admire in footy are the champions that carry themselves with dignity.
Sam continually relies on shock value. The obscene stuff that no one else will go near to raise ratings.
All to buy his next Lambo or girlfriend.
It ain't something that kids or anyone with half a brain need to watch.
Street talk, dildos, sexual innuendos....
Marngrook footy show is far better for me.
I would have preferred Harves kept the slate clean and never appeared on this show.

I think the show reflects society's declining standards and widespread lower intelligence.
Around 2002-2004 it was must see TV, now its descended into crap.

What is this about..i missed it...i only watched the Harves section....St. Luke wrote:I believed Newman over Brown....and derrrr.....and derrrr....what a peanut!
I don't believe Harvey when he talks about Blight,i think he respects Blight a lot and doesn't want to tip the bucket on him so he stretches the facts...a bit ....maybe a lot....doesn't say what the players really thought..
Unlike Stewie
How many defenders will The Saints pick in the 2024 draft ?

If you want family-oriented, vanilla footy humour, watch Before the Game instead.

yeah, why would you worry when your coach doesn't bother visiting you in hospital, let alone call you, when you have a knee reco

Robert Harvey was great on the footy show such a humble guy. It's going to be really sad to not be able to see him running out for the Saints in the future. One of the all time greats of this comp.
It was great to see all on the show give him the respect he deserves.
I loved the bit with his kids especially the comment from his daughter about his hair. He showed great composure, I even had a tear in my eyes watching that bit.
Good luck to you guys in the finals and I hope for Robert Harvey that you can achieve success in the finals series. It would be an awesome way to finish off his career.

Good on you Fish and well done Rhys Palmer - he was a deserving Rising Star winner.
I was glad the Footy Show finally decided show some respect to Robert Harvey - they put some effort in, good on them.
I think J. Brown protests too much - and the rough as guts country boy routine is starting to grate on me.
Fevola is a champ, he loves the Saints, always tips us.

As soon as he said that I thought back to the last time he had said that and smiled. The last two people you want to be telling have no hope in winning a game of footy is Bally and the Great Man. Lets stick it up Sammy!!!!saint1974 wrote:Actually thought Sam was respectful towards Harves.
Love Fev showing his respect too.
Didnt anyone notice how Sam said we would be thrashed by the cats last time he said we would be thrashed by a team was when we played the hawks could this be a an omen for the mighty sainters.
Thats Mr. Smartarse to you
