To all you whinging Milne Sooks!
...it's going to hurt us on the forward line without him this week! ...Let's pretend just for a moment we've traded him ...watch the ball hit the ground and then what?? Hope for Schneider to perform some Milne magic??? I don't think so.
I hope the Whizzbanger has a speedy recovery!

When they created LENNY HAYES (in the shadow of Harvs) they forgot to break the mold (again)- hence the Supremely Incredible Jack Steven!!

Larkins this afternoon said that Milne had a fracture, but would play.
Has there been a further update from the club?

Ok on saints.com
Milne spent Sunday night in Perth after the Saints' win at Subiaco Oval, after he was diagnosed with a small crack in his right cheekbone, which he suffered in a collision with Fremantle's Antoni Grover.
Milne and a St Kilda official began driving home on Monday and are expected to arrive at the club on Wednesday.
Would not getting the train be a lot less tiring?????
And what about the St Kilda Official....will have to get a medal for being confined in a car for 3 days with Milney and his constant chat!!!!!!!!!!!!

Imagine if the cops pulled them over.
"He's only in the boot cause he wouldn't shut up"
"Care to explain why hes all beat up"
"He did it playing football, I had nothing to do with it, just driving him home"

Very irritating ...I once flew up to Brisbane once to give a lecture...only to find that my slight cold was a major sinus infection (which = extreme pain in the air I can tell you). Seeing the specialist after my lecture I was told not to fly for a fortnight, with the result to get back to Melbourne I had to catch a train to Syndey and then grab a hire car from Sydney.
Not my favourite journey!!!

St Kilda forward Stephen Milne has begun a cross-country road trip as he recovers from a fractured cheekbone suffered in Sunday's AFL win over Fremantle.
When his teammates on Tuesday begin their preparation for Sunday's vital game against Adelaide, Milne will be driving across the Nullarbor Plain after being ordered not to fly home from Perth.
Milne spent Sunday night in Perth after the Saints' win at Subiaco Oval, after he was diagnosed with a small crack in his right cheekbone, which he suffered in a collision with Docker Antoni Grover.
Milne and a St Kilda official began driving home and are expected to arrive at the club on Wednesday.
"With that sort of injury he was told not to fly, so he'll be assessed by our doctors when he gets back," a club spokesman said.
Milne bravely played on after the first-quarter clash, but is unlikely to play in round 21, where the eighth-placed Saints take on the fifth-placed Crows.

Agree. Has to produce in finals to silence his doubters (of which I am one).
However, last week may have been what we like to call a "defining" moment... where he stood up despite his injury, and not only came back on, but kicked some goals.
Very inspiring stuff IMO... on par with 35's effort against Port.

The lid is off after Round 2! Enjoy the journey, coz you just don't know where we'll end up. Live for today and seize the moment.

It's worth playing him just in case you get the good one, the match winner. Same with Dal Santo.Red wrote:Criticism of Milney is because he is inconsistent in big games.
Finals record of 7 goals in 5 games of which 4 were scored in his first.
He can be a freak like last weekend or he can be a lazy fella as he was
against Collingwood. Which Milne are you going to get.

could end up with an air bubble in a vein.......which can be fatal......;

Exactly. And he copped a cracked cheekbone (on the other side) in the Wet toast game as well - same scenario, why wasn't he awarded a free? You can be excused for thinking that all AFL players get 1 free hit to Milne per game without penalty!! But that would be like a conspiracy now wouldn't it. And we can't have that nonsense again now can we!!??rodgerfox wrote:Why didn't Milne get a free kick for copping one in the head?
I want to stand for something. I'm a loyal person and I think at the end of my career it will be great to look back and know that I'm a St Kilda person for life.

well the '1 free hit on ball' can be transfered when ball doesn't play. Freo opted to change it to free hit on milne.....yipper wrote:Exactly.
