over reliant on riewoldt

Post: # 610333Post bigcarl »

well kosi would have been handy today. as would have gehrig or allen or anyone else who could have taken a bit of the focus off roo.

i was working and didn't get to see much of the game. maybe co-incidence, but every time i looked up riewoldt was being spoiled in a marking contest.

very important to have more than the one forward marking option.

you'd think we would have learned something by now.

It was always going to the be the case that so much would be dependent on Roo. But always when we struggle, our delivery turns to rubbish but the Eagles boys played him pretty well after quarter time despite him still kicking 5 goals.

Thank god, Kosi will be back next week is all I can say. Today outlined the difference that he makes even if he is not grabbing the ball because he isn't bringing the ball to ground and providing a target.

he kicked five, but from how many opportunities? i'll bet we aimed nearly every ball at him.

don't get me wrong. he's a wonderful player, but he can't do it all himself.

goddard touches someone = free kick

they were all over riewoldt play on.

same all over ht e ground, good tackles by us were being penalised and they were getting away with the same shyte.

it was rubbish umpiring. evne the eagles knew it.

Like I said - got to watch out for Wilkes & Mackenzie

gun defenders in the making - both have played a fair bit of football at Claremont together.

ruubish...

Roo should have kicked another 4.

The Saints got spanked in the midfield...and our defence was poor in how they used the ball.
