saints good things on a saturday night....
.."Sweet 16. Why Saints are on a Dome roll
HAWTHORN will start warm favourite in its round-16 match against St Kilda at Telstra Dome next Saturday night but don't be surprised to see some betting fluctuations when word of this amazing stat filters through to punters and bookmakers. And it is amazing, too. Flick back through the Saints' performances at the Dome and you will discover that while their record there is quite good — from their 108 games they have had 59 wins, 46 losses and three draws — it is on a Saturday night that they really excel. Not only have they won their past 16 Saturday night games at the indoor stadium, but you have to go back to round 9, 2003 — more than five years ago, when they were thrashed by Collingwood by 65 points — for the last time they lost. So long ago that in the week that followed, then coach Grant Thomas famously gave ruckman Matthew Capuano his marching orders. History, of course, amounts to nothing in a footy match but at least the Saints will glean some extra incentive from the fact that one of those 16 wins — in round 16 last year — was against the Hawks when they led at every change to finally get home by 17 points.'

which proves the point stinger that there is nothing better to do in life on a Saturday night than to go to The Dome, in Melbourne, Australia and watch The St. Kilda Saints win!!
You can keep your New Wembley and Yankee Stadium, there's nowhere better than The Saints at The Dome, on Saturday, in Melbourne, Australia.
Blow your whistle!

Well now it's a certain victory to us.
That smarmy Stephen Quartermain (QUARTERS Mischa, not KORTERS)
on Ch10 News has just tipped that Franklin will have a big noght and kick double figures!
Quartermain was (still is?) a committee member at Hawthorn so his view/tips could not be called unbiased when it comes to do anything with Hawthorn
I'm sure he was hoping for 10+ goals but I think we may give him a very disappointing night commentating on our game.
