How do we kick 15 goals tonight

Post: # 590810Post plugger66 »

Alright if we are to win tonight we will need about 15 goals. Where do they come from. And lets not put unrealistic targets on players. Lets remember our leading goalkicker is dropped and our leading midfeild goalkicker isdropped and with him not playing we cannot play Bally forward as we will be short in the midfield.

Lets have a go guys to get us to 15.

About 239 shots at goal, I'd say.

gritty defence thats what its about.

and losing narrowly.

15 kicks that steer the ball between the big sticks.

Yep Gardiner, Jones and Roo. How is McEvoy at kicking goals?? I gather they’ll have him playing in the ruck tonight and floating forward??? 15 goals is a big call.

When they created LENNY HAYES (in the shadow of Harvs) they forgot to break the mold (again)- hence the Supremely Incredible Jack Steven!!

It will be an even spread across the ground tonight with goals coming from um...um...um... will have to get to back to you on that minor point.

Hope for 15 charities five metres out directly in front (yes, I know that only guarantees 14 goals).

King's normally good for 1-2 as well. I'm thinking how we stop THEM from scoring 15! If the don't get the ball, they won't get the chance and, although we've been good with centre clearances (admittedly, thanks to Dal, but mainly thanks to Lenny), it's been rebounds from the forward 50 that kill us. I've got the feeling that without the usual suspects up front, we might be able to apply more forward pressure than usual tonight.

Roo's gotta kick at least 4 for one. Usually can rely on a couple from Gardi. There's 6. 4 from midfielders sounds reasonable enough. Jonesy to get one, Armo to get one, and the Big Mac will hopefully get a couple.....

Easier said than done.

We have always had at least 2 all star forwards within the 50.....But it has been the make up of the other 4 that has cost us dearly....

An even 6 is what makes a team like Geelong so dangerous. Takes pressure and frees up space for the core star two when the other 4 are just as dangerous.

Unpredictability and even strength wins games of football.

So you're saying 6 duds is better than 2 stars and 4 duds?

We could do with a Tom Hawkins or Steve Johnson at the moment.

Yeah, that'd work.

With NO EXPERT CONSULTATION, I have come up with:

Riewoldt 4,Charlie G 3,Armo 2,Big Ben 2,Goddard 2,Bally 1,Lenny 1,Allen 1 & Eddy 1 ( both with their 1st kick in AFL footy). That's 17 cos I'm greedy  !!

How do we kick goals tonight..well, do the opposite to what our forwards and midfielders have been doing up to now!
