mods

i've sent a lot of emails to a number of you over the last 12 months or so asking for my actual saintsational account to be 'reactivated' as i can't log on.

many of you will know and remember me as simply 'philip'.

but when i changed my sig once it then deactivated my account. it must have been b4e when we were having one of our GT debates

anyway, can someone please help me out here. i have too much history with my old username to have to start again.

and for all you old forumites, i am back, not that i have ever really been gone. michael, tom, joffa (chartered really is better

i am in as 'st philip' but given we are on the sainters own forum i don't really need the 'st' part.

as for the emails going unreplied, yup, mostly sent to damian who i presume is working rather than checking email boxes.

anyway, i should have done this ages ago but it required me setting up a new email account (as my real one is linked to my deactivated account).

technology can be so good, but when it goes wrong, it can be a pain in the backside!

as already stated Battye now titled webmaster - or Harves-diciple will be your best bets- I believe HSV is AWOL or O/s as he seems to ahve been mising for some time

battye and HD have both been in in the last 24 hours.

and I will run an IP search for you mate, try to find your username, and will hunt down battye as he is the wiz in this regard...

However Oh When the Saints moved to Qld..and when he did he indicated that he would be too busy to moderate any more.

But he still posts.

its about having someone here during the day.
has nothing to do with the abilities of any of the moderators that are on the forum.

hardly any moderator is here during the daytime i think is what he is trying to say.

Doesn't seem to matter if our 'moderators' are online or not.

There is a fine line between over-moderation and under-moderation. If we warn for things which are really very minor, then posters will complain that they have been warned for no reason? Under-moderate, and of course people complain that threads are left open for too long.

The moderators do a fine job of finding that balance, as I can see from the list of warnings that I have, and the number of threads that are steered back on track.
