I wonder if RL let the senior players (leadership group) do the selections, matchups and game plan for next week Sydney game would they come up with anything like LYON - I doubt it!
It would be an interesting exercise in team empowerment which might show LYON and the team the way out of the crisis!

SAINTS another day older another day closer to the Holy Grail!

ok. he should keep on doing what he is doing. cos it SO WORKING!degruch wrote:I reckon he'd probably be a better judge of what's required to sort out Sydney than the current playing group.
im sure he could help beating sydney 2005. but Sydney 2008 will CRUSH US with fast moving and precision footballin. none of this defensive crap that RL is obsessed with.
cracks me up that people are still "keeping the faith" with this clown.

Having a look at the team, they couldn't beat a bunch of under-13 netballers, let alone pick a team and a game plan. You might be right, we might get rolled quite convincingly...but I'll ceck my diary and grab my dancing shoes for Monday just in case

i agree with that ratonal thought. and 9 times out of 10 you would be spot on. but i reckon the game has changed a lot since 2005. and our swans trio are still living the 05 premiership dream. someone needs to wake them all up and tell them its over and get on with 08.

call me an eternal optimist (i suppose i'm not the only st kilda supporter forced into that boat) but i believe we can win every game we play. we proved that last year with our run after the bye, have shown patches of it this year.
i think we just need one hard fought win against a quality side to lift confidence. success breeds success.. i was hoping it would be last week but was shattered with the middle quarters. hopefully this week we can turn it around!
