has it dawned on any1 that if we had beaten the bulldogs, we would have met 99.9% of all football supporter's expectations of us...

a win on fri would put us back on par (according to some)

The AFL allocate 4 points for a win + percentage. By their calculations we are the fifth best performing team at this point in time. Simple really !!

we are not fifth how dare say that. if many of you could remember the good old victoria park darks, supporters pissing on opposition, threatening to be killing walking back to my car, finding you dont have a car anymore, its all apart of the collingwood folk law.

If we're taking the optomistic approach we can also look at our losses being to Geelong, the in form Bulldogs, and a resurgent Port Adelaide while not playing our best. If the glass is half empty, then we haven't been competitive against the teams we'll need to be if we want to go anywhere in September.

Friday night looms as an excellent test as we play another team failing to meet expectations and without form.
