5. It only takes a couple of injuries to bring anyone down. Take scarlett and ablett out of the cats and watch them squirm
6. Stkilda and melbourne were playing off for bottom spot during 1997, stkilda won and went on to be favourite for a grand final.
7. Only idiots believe they can tip this far out. Hell I struggle week to week with my tipping!
8. Pace is a great but once the run has gone out of the youngsters the big boys start to shine.

Disagree with this myth. I truly believe we have one of the most over-rated lists going, and have had for some time. However, don't let that bring you down. I reckon we'll make finals, but not do much damage. Anything else and I'll be stoked.

7 of the above formed the core team which made the finals in 2005 & 2006 . Get some perspective. We were super stiff in 2005 and most of the above were kids then.

Saints - 4 wins, 3 losses

What does this mean? Who knows?

2007 - Up to round 7. Cats were pretty ordinary....NOT. They lost to NORTH MELBOURNE, Hawthorn, Western Bulldogs.

They destroyed Carlton by 12 goals, wiped Richmond off the face of the planet in the most convincing fashion ever in Round 6.

Stkilda has done nothing even slightly resembling Geelongs round 6 thrashing of Richmond and Round 2 thrashing of Carlton.

By round 7 2007 , Saints went nowhere, Cats went up.

Parallels bah there's isn't much point.

1999 by Round 7 stkilda were 4 wins 3 losses.

We finished 10th.

You can either choose to draw hope or despair from our current position. Fascinating few weeks ahead.
