AFL charters flight of fancy for Dockers

Fremantle will travel in style courtesy of the AFL this weekend, after having a flight to South Australia chartered and paid for by the league so they can play Saturday's NAB Challenge match against Port Adelaide.

With the South Australian capital booked out this weekend due to the NAB Cup final between the Crows and St Kilda, the Adelaide Cup race meeting as well as an international arts festival, the Dockers' travel plans to Noarlunga, south of the city, were placed in jeopardy.

To get them home in relative speed after the game.

DId I hear somewhere the team flies over on Friday- will be good to acclimatise.

Yes, it would be good for them to train in mid 30 degree heat, instead of the slighlty milder mid 20 weather in Melbourne.

The AFL should really scrap this maximum of 16 interchanges while the forecast is at 36 for Saturday.
