Business Development Manager - St Kilda Football Club
$40,000-$50,000

Fantastic Challenging Role
Due to growth our client The St Kilda Football Club is seeking to employ a Corporate Sales Executive to join their team. The primary objective of this role is to work closely with the manager to develop new corporate business strategies to meet agreed sales targets. You will be required to manage an existing database of clients with the major focus of this role being on developing and securing new business relationships.
Reporting to the Corporate Sales Manager you will be responsible for a number of duties.
Some of these include…
• Sales calls to obtain new business opportunities
• Develop & maintain key business relations to ensure long term success
• Develop long term new business relationships
• Attend all St Kilda match days
• Develop sales strategy to maximise casual match day sales
• Manage & maintain client & corporate data bases
• Follow company processes and procedures
• Meet new corporate business budgets & targets
• Provide excellent client servicing and ensure all contracted benefits are delivered upon
• Other relevant duties as directed by the by the Corporate Sales Manager
To succeed in this role you will ideally have experience/skills in the following…
• At least 2 years experience in a proven sales role(sport would be preferred but not essential)
• Strong communication skills both verbal & written
• A proactive approach
• A desire to strive for success
You will also posses a dynamic attitude with the ability to build relationships both internally and externally with a professional approach towards sales coupled with a genuine interest in AFL. You will also have intermediate to advanced skills across the Microsoft Office package.

They should only play AFL games now when it's raining. Slow games of footy are so much better to watch.

Wonder what kind of responses they'll get - "executive", 2 years experience, and that salary expectation don't really mesh to me in any combination. Maybe the 2 years and the salary if the "proven sales role" were to include retail...
