Saints will win the flag next year if... Lyon ensures his side's tackle numbers are up. If he is modelling the Swannies, they tackle more and win more contested ball. If they do that they win it.

While we have looked pretty dominant when we've been tackling hard I think it will come down to more whether or not we get some luck with injuries... but as Roo said there's no more excuses, they're either good enough of their not.
Would love to see Schneider, King and maybe even Dempster really force themself into the 22 and make other players have to fight for their game time..

The Saints will win the Grand Final next year if they make it and are in front when the final siren goes ,it doesn't get any more plain than that,unfortunately...........

If there isn't an improvement in the injury situation, then they're not. Call it an excuse if you like, but the kind of injury run the Saints have had on an annual basis for the last 3 years simply cannot be covered.

I definetly agree with you from this yeards run however 2004 + 2005 + 2006 were not nearly as bad!!

Need everything to go right. Good run with injuries, a ruckman to step up, our midfielders to go up a level and Kosi and Roo to kick at least 100 between them.

There would be about 10 clubs capable of winning the flag in 2008, and I think we are one of them. Whoever has the best luck will win it.

We have the talent to win it - end of story! Given a bit of luck and there is no reason we can't do it.

When they created LENNY HAYES (in the shadow of Harvs) they forgot to break the mold (again)- hence the Supremely Incredible Jack Steven!!
