Who will win our B & F?

Post: # 468713Post markinUSA »

Hi,

With the Trevor Barker Award being given in a couple of days, I'd like to ask: Who do you think will win?

I suppose the favourites will be Dal and Roo. I suspect Roo will get it.

I'd like to see some sort of "most improved" award go to Joey (from memory, I think there is an award like that), though I imagine Gilbo will give him a run for his money.

If it's best first-year player award, I think the only ones who would fit into that are... hmm... who is it? Clint Jones, and... is James Gwilt also a first year player, technically? Not sure if Sam Gilbert also fits into this category - if so, he would win in a cakewalk.

Any ideas who will get best clubman? Maybe Joey (maybe Harves?)... I dunno. (Too far away to know what really goes on at the club).

Glad to be talking about actual footy-related things at the club, and not infighting.

Cheers
Mark

Bakes always polled surprisingly well in the Grant Thomas days, but we'll see how he goes with a new match committee.

My money would be on Roo, with Sam Fisher polling well early.

Roo should win it by the length of the straight.

He has the toughest job in footy this bloke. To be able to play so well with some of the decision making and disposal he gets on the end of is a sign of how great a player he really is.

Unsure how Attard could be inelligable but Jones Eligible, they were both elevated rookies I thought?

Roo or Fish will win it with Dal, Lenny, Gilbert, Fiora, Joey, Harves and even possibly Blake polling well. Most improved probably Gilbert and possibly X clarke to get the best club man?

Maybe this year?

Thanks, if that is the case and attard is inelligible then I think it would be embarassing for us to give out a best 1st year award. We didnt have a good one at senior level.

Maybe this year?

I don't really give a stuff who wins. I'm a selfish bastard. I'd rather win a premiership.

I once spent a year in Adelaide, I think it was on a Sunday.

Gram will poll well and should be in top 3

I'm loving this - underdogs at 3 to 1, grand final experience in our favor and Pies over confident. Go Saints - I'm loading up!

Didn't he debut in 2005?

I hear what ya saying, rather be celebrating a GF....

but the b&f is a good night and I think Rooey will come very close to snagging another one.

Sam Fisher will also poll very well and watch out for Joey, he had a great year.
