If Fraser had played last week the world would be different.
Nightmare on Brunton Avenue
Ottens won the Prelim for Geelong.
Fraser might not have beaten him but he would have been more effective than Richards.
Would have reduced Ottens' influence.
And Fraser can kick a couple of goals when resting up forward.
So it quite reasonable to conclude that Collingwood would have won that game.
It is then quite reasonable to conclude that Collingwood have beaten the lack lustre Port.
So what would the world look like then ?
In terms of the Cats
- Geelong would be devastated.
- They would have turned on each other.
- Costa would be conducting another "extensive review".
- Thompson might have already jumped ship and taken up the (unspoken) offer from Essendon
- Cooke would have grabbed a cushy job in the AFL Commission
- the Geelong confidence would be shattered and would effect their approach to future big games
- the club would slide back down
In terms of the Pies
- Melbourne would still be full of the B&W army
- the media would be praising Collingwood as a super team
- speculating that this would be the start of a Collingwood dynasty
- Malthouse would be hailed as the greatest coach of the modern era
- Eddie would be everywhere
- Every newspaper would have photos of Buckley sleeping naked with the cup
- Channel nine would have extended coverage of the celebrations live from the Lick-arse centre
- David Williamson would write another play
This horror story is not fiction.
It would have happened.

The rest of Australia can wander mask-free, socialise, eat out, no curfews, no zoning, no police rings of steel, no illogical inconsistent rules.
They can even WATCH LIVE FOOTY!

If Fraser had of played last week.
If St.Kilda had less injuries in 2005, we would've made the Grand Final. s***s me when people say this.
They weren't fit, it was our fault for having terrible training services.
FRASER wasn't fit. He didn't play because he wasn't right. If he played, Fraser could of hurt himself in the first 5 minutes and not been able to come back on.
Who cares?
Geelong Premiers 2007.
what we need to work on is
St. Kilda Premiers 2008
not
how geelong could've lost 2007.
they deserved it, they were the best team. As much as I hate them, these bulls*** 'what if' and 'should've been us' and 'end of last year we were ahead of them' threads.
Because they mean NOTHING.
lets post about 2008.
about our trades.
Not about, Geelong being miles ahead of us.
FFS!!!

if Judd/Cousins/Kerr had have all been fit then WC would have beaten the Pies, and gone on to beat the Cats, and then Port in the GF
but they weren't, so we're gonna have to put up with all the arrogant Geelong supporters until next year

Geelong supporters have had to put up with all sorts of tags - "soft", "handbaggers", "heartless", "spineless".The_Dud wrote:so we're gonna have to put up with all the arrogant Geelong supporters until next year
Just accept it and move on - they were the best team. You won't see a more complete display of dominance from another in a Grand Final like that for ages....... possibly ever.
I tell ya what - if that was us, we'd be carrying on exactly the same way Geelong fans have been.
