Gehrig?

He wasnt an enforcer, especially in the last 2 or 3 seasons.

Enforcer is a bit of a meaningless role in a game where you can't get away with too much behind play

If "enforcing" means reportable offences, I don't want Baker involved, thanks very much

Hamill, Gehrig weren't even tough guys

Powell was. Ditterich was.

I think you want guys to fly the flag - as some players fall away, others step up

So don't fret

You must be joking.

Powell would be extracting your front teeth from his fist while Sammy was still checking his hair in the shop window

We need to stop relying on one or two players to do the tough stuff and just make sure every player on the list would commit 100% to make a goal-saving tackle, smother or shepard. Every player has to take their turn occasionally rather than hoping that a couple of players do all of the tough stuff so the rest of the team doesn't have to get their hands dirty.

The lions game 2005 was the gutsiest individual performance I have seen. Sammy took on the Lion's back line after Roo went off. Scott has a couple of missing teeth as a result. It was amazing to watch. We have no one like him these days.

I'm sorry, you've gone through all the trouble to find out what this actually says and it really is quite insignificant.

Courage over 'enforcer' anyday.....

Max, Ball, X, Lenny, Baker, Maguire, Watts, Armitage, Harves, Attard, McQualter, Rix, Blake, Kosi, Gilbert, Riewoldt, L.Fisher - All naturally Courageous players, some are amongst the most couageous in the AFL....

More important is to have players who
1) win the footy (Montagna)
2) Make good decisions (Goddard)
3) use the footy (Dal Santo)

Are you talking about the same Harvey?

Brent Harvey?
'Greg Louganis' Harvey?
'Umpire I deserve a free kick' Harvey?
