if Lenny or Luke win the toss to attend?

Be interesting to see where the last 10 or so BL medal winners teams placed that year. I don't think a player from a Spoon team would have a chance. In all of richmonds losses you'd harldy think Foley would ever poll a 3, lucky for a 2, a possible 1.HSVKing wrote:If you stand out in a low placed team... you have all sorts of chances of winning.hammers wrote:Do you really think Foley can get that many in the wooden spoon team?
Kerr is inegiliable isn't he?

Yeah the stats then show in the last 10 year's it been a rare occurance for a player to win it and not make finals.
Foley was good in patches though. I can't say I payed him too much attention at the start of season so don't know how he went. Was good in the middle and didnt do to much at the end(tagged).

Went to almost every Richmond match in Melbourne in the first half of the season.Saint Corin wrote:Yeah the stats then show in the last 10 year's it been a rare occurance for a player to win it and not make finals.

He played very good football this season, was a shame he missed the AA side. He will poll well in the Brownlow, best for Richmond no doubt.

yes but u have to remember, the media LOVES ablett and would give him votes that he probably didn't deservecrowjelly wrote:He did not even win his club's BnF - beaten by Richo!
Only polled 8 votes on the ABC award - Ablett won it with 28
AB you might need some time out for a visit to the "room of mirrors", but put your money where your mouth is - you'll get great odds.
if Foley's last name was Ablett he'd probably be in the same boat - being talked up much more than hes actually worth
lets hope the umpires didn't get dragged into the ablett-mania

Find your individual player's page (e.g. http://stats.rleague.com/afl/stats/play ... woldt.html) and the far right hand column will have their career Brownlow history.

They should only play AFL games now when it's raining. Slow games of footy are so much better to watch.

Reasons Foley could win!
- Has great pace which stands out
- Has done some of his best work at centre clearances where he has broken away and kicked the odd goal
- Has been either very good or very average in games (ie. votes or no vaotes)
- Is the time of stand out player that does things that gets noticed by umpires
Reasons he wont win!
- You rarely see a losing team get the 3 votes so he is likely to get 2's or 1's as opposed to 3's.
I'd say there are plenty of Brownlow winners who have not one their club B&F. B&F voting is different for example a Full back may keep a gun forward goaless or a tagger may stop a Judd and will get maximum votes in the B&F but will be unlikely to poll in the Brownlow.

i'm pretty sure doc baldock won a b&f in one of the years where Ian Stewart won the brownlow.Otiman wrote:Interesting, I wonder how many times that has happened in the past.Nick_Dal_Santo = ChAmPiOn wrote:surely he cant win the brownlow if he didnt even win his clubs B&F?
