Announced on SEN by Francis Leach that Harves has called a press conference for tomorrow morning.

No details.

That's worrying...normally Harvs doesn't draw attention to himself if it is just an announcement that he is playing on.

I sincerely hope so but I am fearful it may be the opposite.

Here I was thinking that all was rosey after reading the thread about him not nominating to be in the 'retired players motorcade.

He'll have been pushed into by the current administration, who are desperate to get good news stories out.

Not sure what to expect.

Hopefully it's good news ...

Also hope the press conference stays apolitical either way.

They should only play AFL games now when it's raining. Slow games of footy are so much better to watch.

What could it be about if it isn't the R-word?

Harves to join the current board in a bid to counter NB and AT's influence with the members?

He's probably announcing that he's playing on, after all didn't he have a presser to announce the same thing last year, after the GT thing i presume the board sent him out to get a good happy feeling back at the club, probably similar circumstances this year.

I'm sorry, you've gone through all the trouble to find out what this actually says and it really is quite insignificant.

Super scary. I'm worried now.

Probably not half as worried as Harves, who has to talk about himself in public now!

saints have locked in connor (his son) under the father/son rule and will be playing next year in the midfield with his son!

OR= he has signed a multimillion $ contract with saints for 3yrs!

Either is plausible!

Just out of interest, if this press conference is to announce the big R-word, how many people will suddenly become ill and need to go home. Thinking, may have a headache that lasts until Monday!!!!

Maybe he's announcing a new 3 year deal, to become the first 40 year old on an AFL list in 2010.

He is going to have to retire someday.

If it is tomorrow - well the club will march on and say thanks to the great champion.

Lance or James??

There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in <redacted>. Over the past three years, I have been subjected to a <redacted>investigation followed by <redacted> witch hunt. The toll this has taken on my family, and my work for <redacted>and on me leads me to where I am today – finished with this nonsense. (Oops just got a spontaneous errection <unredacted>)

Joffaboy, You sure he's not joining you, as a current player, on your alternate ticket? :)

Hmm, its odd for Harvey to say he will not be in the retirees parade on grand final day. And now he is holding a press conference? Very odd for him to go to the measure of holding a press conference but not wanting to be in the thing where they get a farewell at the MCG.
