I’m not writing this off like a lot of others are.
I can recall two occasions where the club used our first round picks to prioritise the “types” of players we apparently needed against the best players available.
First, picks 7 and 8 on Clark and Coffield.
Second and perhaps the worst use of a number 1 pick yet - McCartin over Petracca.
We’ve tried horses for courses, it hasn’t worked, so I have no issue with taking the best player available.

Trade up / back / out, get the ‘best available’ and what you need, don’t just settle for one.
