Selection
What the hell are we doing?!
Clark, Crouch, Jones, Membrey
Running around dominating in the VFL
Collard
Ridiculously made Sub in his debut R1
Came in last week after being Worst on Ground in the VFL and low as a snake’s gut on confidence
Predictable he was horrible
Then to keep him in the side
And the sub him out?!
This comes after the disaster with Phillipou - who looked devoid of any confidence today in the VFL
What are they doing?!
They are blundering selection and mismanaging players development!!!!
This has been absolutely disgraceful by the match committee

Re: Selection
Tanking.
If we were desperate to win , we would have selected those blokes.
I want to know if the playing group are aware of this policy to tank, or if it's just the coaching group.
It is a terrible idea.

Re: Selection
Very puzzling indeed. Crouch, Clark and Jones all best 22. Can only assume they're not considered match fit. Or we are tanking
Re: Selection
I'm pretty sure its the shotgun approach, throw all the selections at the wall and see what sticks. Doesn't appear to be any logic to it. Tried smaller, taller, focus pace, more inside mids, always seems to be unbalanced and not inline with the opposition. Even the selection of subs is really hard to understand.

But hard to pull off a tank

Re: Selection
We are looking to cash in before the arrival of the Tassie team and the draft being blown apart
Knowing us though we will blow a top 3 or 4 draft pick on a midget mid who is body light and slow
Happy days!!

I'm tipping Teflon will read this and be nodding his head... feeling really strange that he's agreeing with what you're sayingB.M wrote: ↑Sun 26 May 2024 7:05pm

Only way for Teflon to defend Lyon is to blame Batchelor or Lenny Hayes...or...he might just stay silent for this particular thread
I don't mind the fact that we're playing senior players in the VFL. I do mind that we are mismanaging players development

Re: Selection
I expect those players to be fresh and play next week while we rest/ manage some others and leave them at home.
That’s my trying to be optimistic approach on these unusual choices.

Re: Selection
Wilson into the midfield mix next season.
Forget Bonner. Put JS back where he shines.
Stocker to do more bullocking in the middle.
Pray Hayes comes good. Or whatever the Euro-Euroke people practised.
Settle Henry, Higgins, Dow and Max in a side for a number of weeks.
If a player consistently misses targets put him on notice.
Clark and Crouch riding to bolster mids.
Sad, but Seb has reached use by date.
No selection night is short rubber stamping previous week choices.
Continuity vital but ellusive and its showing.

Re: Selection
Apart from possibly Crouch I really cannot see Jones Clarke Membrey being at St.Kilda next year.We will not make finals we all know that so why not put games into players who will be at the club.
Did I not read on here guys wanting Jones out after his game against Freo.giving away 4 frees in first 10 mins of coming on as a sub.
Now we are wanting him back in the side.
BOOM BOOM
