Umpire right there seemed pretty confident…

Re: Crows v swans
So the scenarios are:
Saints beat Lions = finals
If they lose, then in order to miss the finals…
Bulldogs need to beat Geelong in Geelong
GWS need to beat Carlton at Marvel
Sydney need to beat Melbourne at the SCG
All scenarios are against the odds

Re: Crows v swans
Unfortunately that was a more clear cut result from memory. They argued that the game ended prior to our score to draw (or whatever). The Fireman wrote: ↑Sat 19 Aug 2023 11:40pm Didn’t they reverse the results of our game when we played Freo
There was still 60s in play after this

Re: Crows v swans
After just watching a game where we ‘won’ the free kick count 20-5 (!!!) you still find a way to whinge about the umpires.

Re: Crows v swans
Bulldogs are a good chance.
You would think Carlton would beat GWS
You would think Melbourne would beat Sydney, but after what happened tonight in Adelaide who would know.
Rugby League would have to be the stupidest, most moronic and over rated game of all time.

Can't help but think that if it was the Saints instead of shitney then the Boys at head office would overturn the result.

Re: Crows v swans
There will be no change to the result and nor should there be. It was clearly a dreadful mistake by the umpire, but games should always be determined on the ground. The reversal of the result against Freo in 2006 was totally wrong IMO.The Fireman wrote: ↑Sat 19 Aug 2023 11:45pmThe goal kicked by the crows looks clear cutskeptic wrote: ↑Sat 19 Aug 2023 11:42pmUnfortunately that was a more clear cut result from memory. Re: Crows v swans
Adelaide win.
Saints cant be out of finals.
Now a long division sum with key being saints beating Brisbane in Brisbane.
I have faith
But ...
Gws smashed essendon.
Melbourne v swans is 50 - 50
Dogs will win tomorrow . They should beat a defeated tired Geelong in Geelong.
I cant believe i am going to hope Carlton win

Re: Crows v swans
How long before they introduce a ‘captains challenge’ like Rugby and Cricket??

Re: Crows v swans
That wasn't the problem. The problem was that all the Crows players were running around celebrating, and none of them noticed it was ruled a behind. If one of them had made a fuss with the umpires, there would have been a review.

I thought it was wrong as well but hey, all fair in Love and War if it happened then? Why shouldn’t it happen now? Imagine the ramifications in regards to the betting.meher baba wrote: ↑Sat 19 Aug 2023 11:50pmThere will be no change to the result and nor should there be. It wil be a huge controversy. But there won't be any change to the result. Well, that's my prediction, anyway. The Fireman wrote: ↑Sat 19 Aug 2023 11:57pmI thought it was wrong as well but hey, all fair in Love and War if it happened then? Why shouldn’t it happen now? Re: Crows v swans
They can’t change the result, there was still about a minute left when the goal/point happened, Sydney can just say they could have kicked another and still won the game.meher baba wrote: ↑Sat 19 Aug 2023 11:58pmIt wil be a huge controversy.
