"St Kilda has emerged as a club "keeping tabs" on off-contract Gold Coast midfielder Sam Flanders, who has proven his value as an elite ball winner in recent weeks under interim coach Steven King.
Flanders has reached new heights since King took the reins from former senior coach Stuart Dew last month, seeing his average for disposals rise from 18.29 in his seven matches before Dew's sacking to 30.75 touches per outing under King."
While he's a former first round draft pick, Gold Coast are looking for volume later picks to accumulate points for their Academy guys at the next draft. Their first rounder is most likely on the table as well.
Certainly interested - right age profile too
But reality ??? We won’t be the only club come knocking …is he ?
FWIW Parish not signed yet too….mumblings he’s seeking his $ pay day ….I’d make him an offer that at a minimum if Bombers match …chokes their cap
He is FA? No picks needed …just $
Get him /Flanders (we into Henry as well ) midfield starts looking very different…
Get it done SOS

They will want next years first rounder
They already have an arsenal of later picks
What they will do is trade their pick 5 for a future
They need the points this year, so any trade would involve picks from this year. After seeing this years draft crop at the Nationals, I would be happy to give up our 1st round pick for Flanders. If we can get him for a 2nd & 3rd or similiar that would be great, otherwise Flanders would in our best midfield and an immediate list need.
In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

Correct
I’d still pressure for Parish as well ….Cats surely can’t meet his $ needs
Cotton On can I guess ..
Midfield needs overhaul
Drsft can’t fix it
Smart move IF we could pull it off
Gresham compo be nice to exchange for it …2nd late 1st..
Keep our 1st for draft
If we don’t make we finals could end up with pick 8…
RTB knows it ****
Get ruthless boys
No more previous idiot coaches telling us we are “nearly top 4”
Garbage

This worries me BF
Anyone hear the rumour about Flanders being part of the package that brings Dusty to GC?
If we can't get Flanders, I'd hope Richmond get him if it means Dusty to GC. There goes the GC wiggle room in the salary cap and "ambassadorial" roles. A lot more players will spill out from that listing ship.

They have 3 academy kids ranking in the top 15. They will be trading the first for picks.
They have a young mid and two talls to collect and they want them. They are going to need their whole draft hand and some.
