Re: Jack Peris to debut this weekend
I'm assuming that Clark will be the sub and Peris will be asked to run himself ragged in the first half and then bring in Clark for him before 3Q time, unless injury beforehand.

Re: Jack Peris to debut this weekend
We need to be realistic about Jack's debut. Playing as a small forward, it's hard to get possessions at any time, let alone in your first game. The important thing is that he adjusts to the tempo. Having elite leg speed will help him.
Mitch Owens had 6 touches in his first game, Byrnes had 5, and both looked completely out of place, so let's not put any pressure on the kid if he has the same output in game one.

3+ kicks, 1+ score involvements, 1+ shot at goal, and 3+ tackles - that'd be a good first game for him.cwrcyn wrote: ↑Fri 14 Jul 2023 2:54pm We need to be realistic about Jack's debut. Re: Jack Peris to debut this weekend
I am aware that our previous Coach had big wraps on this kid and that he was programmed to debut this season (probably earlier than this)
Good luck to him - and enjoy!!!

Too early is when they look way out of place but players often learn a lot just from the experience
If he can get on and just be competitive even if completely ineffective… that would be a huge win.
As pointed out though… getting touches as a small forward is a big ask any time though.
