This will be his first game of any description in four weeks after he was held over as backup twice and Sandy had a bye. Another drawback of playing Sunday afternoons.
Good luck Coops.

For reasons that I posted earlier today, I appreciate that bringing in Billings for Cordy wasn’t possible, because it would make the forward line too short.

Still, it saddens me to see a journeyman like Sharman get promoted to seniors ahead of a classy player like Billings.

I realise that most posters won’t care because Sharman wasn’t taken with pick 3 ahead of the Bont.

While I certainly hope Cooper Sharman does well, it worries me that Owen will be our 2nd ruck.

Sharman will probably take a turn as second ruck as he played that role on a few occasions last year

Sorry, I hate unwarranted or cruel player criticism but I have failed to see what Cordy brought to the team.
AFAIC see we have been playing a man short.

Will be interesting to see who will be subbed out Sunday afternoon.

Billings isn't even an emergency so I'd suggest they want to give him another run around in the twos before selecting him.

Either that or he's injured.

I dont understand the debate. (hyperbole?) Cordy was important stop gap during dire fwd line (injury) situation.

Sharman being given a go now after meeting certain criteria.

Billings just started into training 3x per week so building toward capacity to run flat out for 4 quarters.

All good?

So we're already making subtle excuses for Sharman? One poster has indicated that he hasn't played for 4 weeks and now you inferring that he couldn't go any worse than the player he's replacing??

I hope the kid does well as I do anyone who pulls on the jumper. But I'm not holding my breath. Hopefully he's put on some size since last year and has developed some defensive skills

Yep, we get your position on Cordy, and most agree with it.No need to rub it in, he has done some kind of job up there, now the cavalry is arriving, he can go back to the twos and he has played his part for the list.

Add to that the countless hours of match up analysis the coaches/selectors have done.

Hopefully they get it right. They do have a bit of experience..

Sausage roll?

A basic ham, cheese and tomato on an impasto roll is my personal favourite.

Not with ham but definitely red onion in my tuna role (sic). Ad Kewpie mayo, tomato and crispy lettuce.

I just hope he gets a fair go… hasn’t played for a long time and being the sub, he’s had limited time at Sandy. If he doesn’t blitz it with 19 goals in the first three quarters, hope he at least gets a couple of games to build up.

Am really excited for the kid
