Next week’s game GC
The GC play a similar style of play to us but they have all their players. They have made the cats look ordinary…we are up against it next week and we are looking at our first loss.
It will be the first lost for some of the boys and will be a sobering experience but will be interesting to see how RTB handles the game With bytel in and the loss of wood we really are not meant to win this one
It will give us a real insight into where we are while we are at our most vulnerable
If…if we were to pull this off…….finals will be in the bag

If we win I will put 20k on the bar at my local and shut the doors for a week.

Re: Next week’s game GC
Suns won't win two games in a row.
They are a very different prospect up there.
Geelong climbed Everest last season and have about twelve players over 30.
Our team are young and hungry.
We'll win.

Re: Next week’s game GC
It worries me that the prophecy of a New Beginning may come to pass as they also hope to play finals.
However, I hope that we can stick to our game and prevail.
However,
Pros
- Extra Day
- They played in the warmth of the day
- 78.7% v 150.3%
Cons
- Our injury list - but we have had this for a while
- King getting a goal may have helped him
- need to shut down Lukosius
Need to trust that we can work through it and got to Adelaide for a top of the table clash.

We have an extra day recovery and they are travelling.
We will still have 22 fit players to face them (just)

I keep checking my pulse to make sure I haven't died. I feel a little like Bruce Willlis at his moment of realisation in The Sixth Sense.

Re: Next week’s game GC
Steele was a huge loss, Wood was one who stood up to help cover, now he’s gone too it might be too hard a mission.
Unless we have someone coming back in, it’s gonna be tough.
The effort of the 22 picked shouldn’t waiver tho, that’s a non-negotiable.

Re: Next week’s game GC
Bytel and Heath looked very good in the magoos today just quietly. The Suns are a vastly different prospect up there. Plus I don't think they're a good side. They have some good players but they don't combine well, and they haven't beaten us anywhere much for ten years. I think they've beaten us once or something. The Fireman wrote: ↑Sun 02 Apr 2023 5:45pmLove your passion but we now don’t have the cattle.. they are a good young sidesamuraisaint wrote: ↑Sun 02 Apr 2023 5:38pm Suns won't win two games in a row.

I wouldn’t be opposed to Campbell coming in to do a majority of the ruckwork, allowing Marshall to give us a marking target inside 50The Fireman wrote: ↑Sun 02 Apr 2023 7:21pmnot sure about Cambell ..Vortex he will never play an AFL game.nostalgicsaint wrote: ↑Sun 02 Apr 2023 6:26pm
