Appears Goddard & Walsh have already been busy. McKenna would be a nice inclusion of speed off the half back line.

Re: Conor McKenna
That a ridiculous comment
I rate most AFL players
I could name 20 odd stk players I rate
But not an unaccountable Irish HB who has a s*** kicking style

Re: Conor McKenna
He would be an amazing get and would make up for a lacklustre trade period. The lad can play and at 26 has loads of footy in front of him. Very highly rated by most footy pundits and you can almost taste the bummers tears if we landed him!

Certainly get a few years out of him.

No to guys who can't kick
Please let us get somebody with accuracy.
Dunstan was cut due to crappy kicking (among other reasons?)

He's quick and strong, not a great kick though.

Re: Conor McKenna
I have no idea on whether we will land him or not.
However, chasing him does reinforce what Lyon said about us needing to be a quick team who can run.
Quick players may gain the selection edge, if two players are line ball. And overall Lyon will be looking for pace and runners.
Young Peris may get more of an opportunity now to be developed into a first 22 player.
No one will be gifted games though as we know that Lyon will demand great discipline and willingness to work. So step up Dmac, as you are Lyon's type of player.
Wood too may bloom, as he was relishing that hard running role he had in 2022. If Lyon can just increase Woo's self-belief and consistency he could be a very good asset for us.
Personally I am going to be fascinated how Hill plays under Lyon in 2023. Hill may be our 6 million dollar man at last, if Lyon can rebuild him (gamestyle wise).

Re: Conor McKenna
Why is his nationality relevant?
Talk about a ridiculous comment.
He is an unaccountable HB with questionable disposal skills. There are plenty of players over the years that have met that criteria. Where he is from doesn't matter.

In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

Re: Conor McKenna
20 out of a list of 45 is big of you - very generous. Just wondering how you went when you played at the level?
Oh and by the way the guy came 4th in Essendon's B&F in 2019, so he must do something right??? Have a look at his highlight Youtube video it might enlighten you as to how he actually plays?

Re: Conor McKenna
I am allowed to not rate him - and I don’t - you can if you want - IDGAF
I’d much prefer Coffield and Sinclair as HBs - Coffield is 191 and can intercept mark - Sinclair is a running back.
By the way smart arse
I rate EVERY player who plays AFL as a good footballer- they are elite professional sportsman
But it’s whether I rate them at AFL level
I don’t rate some Australian cricketers - as international players
At any other levels - they are guns!

For what it’s worth, I rate him..very quick and there’s nothing wrong with his foot skills.Impatient Sainter wrote: ↑Wed 09 Nov 2022 1:03pm20 out of a list of 45 is big of you - very generous. Just wondering how you went when you played at the level?

Safe to say most of us would love to see Sinclair used more in the midfield & Hill on a wing, so getting McKenna on board would allow those scenarios.

Re: Conor McKenna
He's left for home once. I wonder what's driving him back? Unfinished business / legacy? Or empty bank account & lack of appealing work back home?
