Re: Paddy on "On the couch"
Wants to go around again in 2023 with us. I'd love him to get to the 300 in Saints colours, playing good footy. He's a bewdy!!!

Re: Paddy on "On the couch"
Agree with all of the above.
I think even those who questioned the wisdom of his recruitment might question their own wisdom now. He's playing as good as he ever has and he has always been good.

Re: Paddy on "On the couch"
He comes across as shy on camera, but I honestly loved listening to him, he seems to have a massive heart.
Remember after Geelong game when he revealed he told RoMa 'i know you're hurting a little bit, but Geez you're so good for us'
What a legend of a man

Re: Paddy on "On the couch"
Has been a massive pick up for us & seems to know what he needs to do to keep his body right & pretty much in career best form ATM . He talking about 2023 already so I'm being greedy now but how good would it be if he could do another year after that & teach young Max (Heath)all the tricks of the trade . Wouldn't have to play every game just be the mentor & pinch hit if he's up to it. Seems that he is a popular figure at the club & the perfect role model for our indigenous boys . I have huge respect the bloke & hope he stays as long as possible

Shy bugger…..listed himself in top 3 ruck in AFL
I don’t doubt he’s right either and I’d go as far as to say his tap work is better than Gawn (who has him covered around the ground)

How good would it be for Paddy Ryder to retire as a St Kilda premiership ruckman. He'd always be remembered most as a saint

Re: Paddy on "On the couch"
don't be glossing over
the 'environment' that the boys are operating with-in
the Club deserves a rap ... for a lot of constructive work
in that area of ... inclusion
***
an old pattern , repeating , is our current reality
hopefully , we have learnt a lesson or two
as we move forward (again)
ie ...
1) recruit no dickheads
2) recruit no supposed 'super' coach
if Clarkson desires to help the Saints jag premiership #2
... he'll willingly come in as Ratts 2IC
integrity has got us this far
no (bullsh1t / glory chasing short cuts)
no panicking if we experience a 'fallow' year
on our way
stick fat
Win Flag.

To the list of ‘don’t s’
Long term rebuilds
Are trains across the horizon
Into the desert
And de-railings are frequent
The circumstances we had under GT,
With all those brilliant stars lined up
Ain’t gonna happen again.
Once in a century
You're quite brilliant Shane, yeah..terrific!

Re: Paddy on "On the couch"
Paddy was drafted at no 7 in the 2005 draft.
Hawks had pick 6 and went with Beau Dowler.
I sometimes like to imagine the level of horror the Hawthorn dynasty could have gone too with Paddy as their ruckman.

Mentioned the great work done by Aunty Katrina Amon is doing with the club and development of the Aboriginal boys.
Perhaps she can assist the Saints in luring her boy as a free agent?
