"Oohs and ahhs for draftee

There are few better things for supporters than watching a young talent blossom.

St Kilda spent its first pick in last year’s draft on Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera, whose family already has a long history in the AFL.

The 19-year-old’s looked more comfortable by the week at the highest level and some fancy footwork on the wing in the opening quarter had the Saints’ fan base audibly gasping.

Not only did Wanganeen-Milera excite his supporters but he lost Suns opponent Brayden Fiorini then delivered a neat pass to fellow first-year player Marcus Windhager."

Of all the things I'm stoked about with this win, NWM is something that has got me as excited as anything with regards to the future of this list, he looks special early.

...that's the type of luck we need more of...finding nuggets of gold in the rough.

Gold nuggets in the rough?

He was our first pick (11) in the draft.

As I said last week. The thought of #7 hitting #12 lace out for the next few years has me salivating

Yeah - I was wondering why Brett has played him 5 games in a row. Just waiting for him to have a shocker and lose confidence.

How wrong am I and how right is Ratts.

The kid was weak in the contest a fair bit in his first couple of games but has improved a lot in that area. He seems to naturally know what is needed in the modern game. And does not seemed overwhelmed at all.

A good 'un.

Well done Saints.

Windhager too. Also shaping up well. I like his contested ball strength. Bodes very well for someone who’s played 3 games. So great to see young depth coming through.

How good his disposal by foot?
I’m just waiting for him to pull off one of those runs down the wing and end up kicking his own goal

Skills look very silky. Dal Santo style. Composed under pressure.

Very promising start

Right then… that’s settled.

Get our senior recruiting staff locked up for the next few years with long term contracts. Can we do that?

Yeah and Paddy was number 1.

This kid could be a once in a generation type from pick 11.

NWM looks at home after 5 games, imagine what he will do as he matures, get fitter & stronger. He has the tools to be the most damaging wingman in the game.

I don’t know if he will ever rack up 30+ possessions, but right now he is doing more with his 15 possessions a game than Dunstan ever did with his high 20s possession games .

Plays a very different game to Dunstan

That’s why he plays in a different position

A wingman on a good day should get 20-25 and use it pretty well given more time and space
