Our girls are having a red hot go, but there is a gap in class. The Tigers midfield are a step above we are getting easily beaten in the ruck and No 4 (Conti) for the Tigers is a jet.

Plus they lost that other girl who was Covid positive. They had their chances late in that quarter but couldn't kick the goals. They will need a huge improvement to remain competitive.

Richmond are getting numbers on the outside of contests and breaking away too easily.

Yep that is clearly the main issue. The endeavour is terrific , but the absence of our best two ball-getters is hurting a lot.

On top of that , we are really missing Kate Shierlaw, who was a great target up forward last season , and Nicola Xenos who was great two seasons ago but missed all of last season with an ACL. At least those 2 should be back soon

Their skills haven't improved in 3 years. For some reason they can't distinguish the Richmond jumper to a St.Kilda jumper.

Decision making is a real problem. It's like they're trying to kick to Richmond players. Conti a clearly better player than everyone, hopefully in 5 years time that will be the standard.

In all seriousness there is a clear gap in class and skills between the teams - but how many times have we kicked it straight to the opposition!!

I don't think it's the coaches fault that most of the Saints girls have very ordinary foot skills.

I'm sure he knows that so for now he tells them to have a red hot crack.

I thought Dal might have thrown her into the ruck in the 3rd when Richmond were blowing the game open?? But I guess in the end all you are doing is shuffling the deck chairs on a sinking ship. I agree with Bruce Mc they will struggle to win a game this season, they are completely bereft of the required basic skills. Footy is a game of keepings off and you arent going to win games when they cant kick, mark or handball. But like Richo's teams they are good tacklers they just cant maintain possession.

If the club are serious about improving this side they need to put some resources into their scouting, because that group of girls are going no where.
