We're not Fit
Tonight proved it yet again.
Fade outs after half way through the second quarter against Richmond, third quarter against Geelong, 15 minutes into the first against the Bulldogs, and Port.
Sandringham in two or three games going to sleep after half time.
A sustained burst of brilliance against the Eagles (for 45 minutes).
As Teflon pointed out a few weeks ago, we are simply not fit. Unfit players also get injured.
Rather than wasting what has occurred through this Season so far, we need to examine heavily between the Richmond loss last year, and Round 1 this year.
I know that we have had injuries, and I'm happy to take aim at the Coach, Playing Group, etc. but to me the whole playing list is unfit.
We need to start looking at this, and straight away, and plan, and do our work properly next pre season.

Re: We're not Fit
We have fat players
How could we be fit?
Higgins and Brad Hill are visibly carrying excess weight.

Re: We're not Fit
Didn't someone say that the players had been entrusted to manage their own training over summer?
Typical touchy-feely crap that comes from the top down.

As Everton put it recently, "Choose Your Own Adventure" is how Cuddles RollsWaltzing St Kilda wrote: ↑Sat 29 May 2021 10:43pm Didn't someone say that the players had been entrusted to manage their own training over summer?

Re: We're not Fit
Injuries are symptomatic generally of poor training routines.
Our injuries are horrific, but for the most part, could have been preventable.
If this isn't fixed soon, we're stuffed for another five years.

Re: We're not Fit
I doubt Paddy is match fit after missing a huge block of games, but he is still about our best player at the moment, along with Steele and Sinclair.
So, fiik.

Stronger focus at the club on ensuring Unisex toilets are in place as opposed to fit friggin players who might be s me to run out a game or back it up more than 1 week
As Gehrig said recently “we are too nice” everyone is all matey mates down there ....you need a dose of prick-ness ....dare I say it.....Lyon like.
