Dougal Howard
Could he be our next champion Full Back?
And enter the hallowed parthenon of messers Howell, Murray, Frawley, and Hudghton?
Certainly looks promising.

Re: Dougal Howard
What about Dawson, Delaney, Brown...and briefly Meister for a game or two.

Not even in the same league with Danny, Verdun and Bob. Maxie was a champion also.

Re: Dougal Howard
Too tasty not to bite eh? I'd be waiting a little while before putting Dougal in with that A grade batch.

What could've been. Ruined by injury
Gehrig emerged from scans yesterday saying he was "as sweet as a bun"

Re: Dougal Howard
Dougal needs to stop stressing so much when he is playing on blokes like Lynch. Back himself in and have the confidence to beat them on his own right. His performances against WB and Tigers were like Jeckyl and Hyde. One he backed himself in the other he was overly concerned about his opponent.

Re: Dougal Howard
Has had a great season and played one horrible game last night but sometimes the defenders win ,sometimes the forwards win, a tough position to play.defenders will never get the acclaim of a full forward. Rance came close but Howard not at that level yet. I hope he can get close lots to look forward to.

Re: Dougal Howard
Great season by Dougal but he is still only 22 and not hardened for the likes of Lynch who has had 10 years in the AFL.
Carlisle would normally play on Lynch and he has done well on him before.
Howard would have played on Riewoldt and that in turn frees up Wilkie to intercept mark and provide run from the backline.

Re: Dougal Howard
Only played his 50th game this year. He’s a very good player already. Give him another season or two and he’ll be better. Our whole back line is going to be brilliant. Wilkie is AA level already. Killed Riewoldt last night.
