Metricon is a worry, don’t think we’ve played well there all year.

Nothing to lose.

Last year's premiership teams against the newbies on the block. Let hope we acquit ourselves well at least.
As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”
St Kilda - At least we have a Crest!

Because it’s Richmond’s choice and they’re staying basically across the street apparently.

Yeah but the GC and Hawks games were pretty poor performances. Fell over the line in two games we should have dominated.samuraisaint wrote: ↑Sun 04 Oct 2020 12:01amBeen okay there- beat Gold Coast and Hawthorn and lost to Fremantle by only one goal.

Richmond’s choice as the highest ranked team, as it was our choice for the gabba today.

Thought home state finals were played at the venue accommodating the largest crowd?
Good, precedent set. Finals in the Docklands next year.

And if Geelong get in the finals next year and are due a home final, they may quote the same precedent to get a home game at GM HB pencil stadium.SaintDippa wrote: ↑Sun 04 Oct 2020 12:33am Thought home state finals were played at the venue accommodating the largest crowd?

The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Re: Tigers Friday night Metricon
Better than the Gabba! Its a shoot out at the gabba and centre clearance ends in a score. Having Ryder out this is in our favour in my opinion

Re: Tigers Friday night Metricon
Yes, I thought they always took into account the gate when it came to these things. I believe the Gabba has a significantly bigger capacity than Metricon.
I mean, how often did we used to have to play finals the MCG between 2004-2010 despite have earned the home advantage?
Anyway, we’ll just have to win at Metricon.

Then Port Adelaide in Adelaide.
Followed by 50% Brisbane, 25% Geelong or 25% Collingwood.
At the Gabba.

Re: Tigers Friday night Metricon
We had a few sore and tired players at the end of the game.
We could use some fresh, quick running legs, elite kicking and experience ... to “Savage”the tigers?
How long can he be denied ... and why is he being denied?
He’d be getting games at every other team. Metricon should suit him?

We beat Hawthorn easily - low standard game perhaps but we didn't fall across the line.The_Dud wrote: ↑Sun 04 Oct 2020 12:02amYeah but the GC and Hawks games were pretty poor performances. Agreed. Boggles my mind that Kent is getting games ahead of him and I’m far from Savage’s biggest fan.samoht wrote: ↑Sun 04 Oct 2020 9:25am We had a few sore and tired players at the end of the game.

Even playing out of position as a forward pocket running into the middle...
I cannot imagine that Savage’s contribution would be less than x3 times what Dean produced on the weekend or most weeks over the last 3months
