Carlisle
Why do we play him forward at times? I realise he wants to play down back, but some times you have to do what's best for the team.
Proved at the Bommers he can play Forward.
We could give Maxie a rest, play Carlisle forward and Battle down back or bring in Clavarino or Robertson.

Re: Carlisle
He will come back in.
He was only left out as there wasn’t a third tall forward and to get more run for the Alice ground.

I think he will get traded at the end of the year. Gut feel.

Re: Carlisle
Yep
Leaving him out was a disaster. Mind you, our defence has been overwhelmed with him too.
Sorely missed as a pinch hitter in the forward line last week. Would have given May and Goodwin something more to think about than Hind or Kent for sure.
You're quite brilliant Shane, yeah..terrific!

Re: Carlisle
He probably needed a rest - I know he also missed against Essendon - but the guy had a very major, major operation on his back last year, and came back underdone.
Week off would have done him a power of good - probably cost us the four points last week, but can't change that now.
Let's hope he plays a blinder and we win by ten goals Sunday.

Re: Carlisle
Undoubtedly a reasonable player, but very petulant will not put in if moved forward and quick to put up the shutters if things start to go down hill, other clubs are most likely aware of this so I guess he is a keeper.

Re: Carlisle
How would anyone really know?
They probably don't have a match up for him this week.

Re: Carlisle
Can’t defend 1 on 1 doesn’t apply any body and if his attitude is shyte no probs trade away
We can cover Carlisle- time to blood some other tall defenders in our list
And if it lands us a very handy mid or 2 ....I’m in

Re: Carlisle
Carlisle is incredibly important to our side, it is no coincidence that we lose when he doesn't play.
Howard has been a liability at times and so without Jake down back our backline is vulnerable and with Kingy being a work in progress Battle has to go forward often further exposing Howard.
